Imagine a pharmacist who didn't know how to read! Disaster, right?
A pharmacist must be able to have good reading skills to be able to read your doctor's prescription and give you the correct prescription. Giving a person the wrong medicine could be lethal and the pharmacist's license would be revoked immediately. All because they didn't know how to read!
A pharmacist must also have good reading skills to be able to order medication. They have to make sure they order the right kind and the correct amount. Imagine taking a twenty minute drive to a pharmacist and finding out they didn't have any of the medication you need. Frustrating!
